of great Christian country songs. Once a star
attraction in the country bars and honky tonks of
his native home Nashville, Tennessee, Bill no longer
sings about cheating hearts, false starts and long
weekends. Today Bill Adkins uses the country music
he loves and grew up on to spread the Gospel of
Jesus Christ.
Bill Adkins self
titled debut album, Lord Don't Give Up On Me, has
been said to have a new wave of Christian country
music. But, more importantly, in a genre of music
still in the process of defining itself. Bill Adkins
has emerged as a pace setter, establishing himself
and Christian country as powerful forces in the mix
of modern-day country music. Bill's first Christian
country music single, "Jesus Reached Down"
is due for release from HMG Nashville in June 2007.
The albums title
is written on a foundation of devoutly Christian
thoughts, carrying a message that's relevant to an
entire culture. "There are issues that demand
to be addressed from a Christian perspective"
says Bill. Lord, don't give up on me is a thought
that crosses everyone's heart during their walk with
the Lord.
"The songs
that are on this album reflect a time in my life
that I thank God he showed me his will for my life
and his love for me" says Bill. Bill plays for
churches, nursing homes, outside events, Revivals,
